La Villa Mexican Restaurant in Mena

If you like your guacamole in a more simple manner order the guacamole dip. The corn tortillas were a disappointment though they were served hot. My son enjoyed his vegetarian fajitas. Totally out of character for me I tried out the chicken fajitas served on a baked potato served on a bed of rice and I would recommend it.

Such a wonderful atmosphere and service was great. The food is large portions and amazing flavor.

Great food and service! Our waiter was great! We were seated immediately, the food was very good and we never ran out of anything without the wait staff being right on it. They did great and we will be back.

Popular after church Mexican restaurant. OK food. Nothing special, but popular with locals.

As soon as we pulled up to this location, I had this sick feeling that maybe we shouldn’t eat here. The outside building was nasty. As soon as we sat down in the booth, the red curtains were filthy, that should have been the final warning but we said no, I’m sure it’s fine. Then we were served stale chips, pizza sauce aka salsa that smelled and tasted as nasty as you can imagine. The food was gross and I couldn’t even eat. We even heard a customer come in and complain about the salsa that she ordered, the cashier said, “Yes, we know we have been getting several complaints about the salsa today”. I was floored, DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARDWORKING MONEY HERE. SAVE IT AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

So delicious. A definite do again. They know what they're doing in this kitchen.

Coming from Texas, I have learned to not expect too much from Mexican restaurants out of the state. This place was awesome. It was busy, but the service was fast and constant. The food was flavorful with a taste all its own.

We stopped by for a dinner. Salsa was bland, missing something. I ordered beef fajitas, and it was okay as well. There was nothing special about it. The portion was big and the price was very reasonable. The service was average.

The food is great as always, the service was good too. It just seems like its not worth eating out with the increase in prices for food these days. Still one of my favorite Tex-Mex joints in Southwest AR and Southeast OK!!

When went here because it got great reviews. I ordered a beef fajita chimichanga and got a ground beef one. None of the meat was seasoned. Everything was very bland. I had to pour cheese sauce on top of everything to give it some taste.My mom ordered a chicken quesadilla and it looked like a taco. It was stuffed like a taco instead of a quesadilla. She asked for a house dressing and instead of telling her they didn't offer that the waiter brought her a package of thousand island dressing. The hot sauce tasted like tomato sauce. Everything was just bland.

This place was worth the stop!!! Do youself a favor and get the Ranchero Chihuahua! So delicious, and salsa had a bite

The food was really delightful, & it keeps u full for a long period of time. However, i gave only 4 stars because i thought that the service was a little slow to see if we, (my dad & i), needed anything....such as drink refills.Other than the service being lacking, everything else was great!

The waiter was friendly, and got the orders right. But the guacamole tasted like it was made then frozen last week! The taco was so soggy the moment it came out *I know to eat this first* that it fell apart as I tried to put salsa on it. The chips where stale and the salsa was to say the least "barely chunky ketchup". The chili reano's where barely bigger than my thumb and completely empty! Gave it 2 stars only because the kid waiting the table was prompt, polite, and clean. I've had better Mex food in any other town! This was at noon on a weekday! Very sorry!!

Extremely forgettable. Queso at the start was the high point. Ordered grilled shrimp in garlic butter...it looked like someone put a handful of cocktail shrimp in our plate and drizzled some melted butter over them. Maybe they showed the shrimp a clove of garlic but we sure couldn't taste it. Rice and beans were ok. A handful of shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato on the side confused me. I'm not making a hamburger here. Flour tortillas were fresh and tasty. Server never returned after bringing our food. Got tired of waiting for the check and walked up front to pay. $35 for 2 people. Could have done much better.

Salsa pretty good, good salsa and queso, yummy refried beans. The lighting was a bit strange, I couldn't tell the difference between gray and purple. Margaritas were ALL virgin. good chips. water was cold and icy, lemon included.

Love the food and service. I always get the alambre or ranchero. The price and serving size can’t be beat. The queso is delicious. It’s always busy and the food always comes out quickly and hot. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever tried.

I can't remember if the menu item I ordered was called carne asada tacos or tacos de res. But what I got was nearly perfect Mexico City style tacos. Excellent salsa, great service. Will definitely be back for these tacos.

Being from Texas, I know TexMex. This ain't it. But if you like bland food, you do get a lot for your money. But dang the chicken is dry and the white queso is gross. The 3 cups of shredded lettuce on top of nachos was gross. Service was fine. Bland food, so wasted money.

Chips and salsa were great. I had a tamale that was 90 percent masa and an enchiladas which was a flour tortilla filled with bland hamburger... No flavor.

Gigante Burrito is huge, enough for at LEAST two meals, and everything tastes awesome! My favorite normally is the Ranchero Special Chihuahua. I got to try the Spinach Cheese dip tonight, and will be ordering it again!

Please STOP using BAGGED lettuce. It always taste old.But the Chicken soup was suprizing. And a deep bowl too! Too bad the chicken is bland & dried out!

The food was somewhat bland. I'm not from the area, so that may be what the locals are into. The place seemed very busy and clean. Just not my cup of tea flavor-wise.

Very good food. I had pollo loco jalisco and wife has an enchilada plate. Both were very tasty. Only complaint... no toilet paper in ladies room. When she reported it to the guy at the desk he said I know. I'd he knew maybe he should have warned her on her way in.

La Villa has excellent Mexican food. I was on a "date" with my two young grandaughters, and they both, also, gave La Villas 2 thumbs up.
